PROJECT BRIEF

Symbiotic Silhouette is a mixed-media collage series exploring the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature. Combining digital manipulation with hand-crafted, sculptural collage, the works graft botanical forms — mushrooms, blossoms, tangled stems — onto monochrome portraits and fragmented body parts, letting plants grow out of, and into, the human figure.

The contrast between flat black-and-white photography and dimensional, textured paper elements blurs the line between 2D and 3D, image and object. Through these hybrid silhouettes, the series reimagines plants not as passive scenery but as living forces intertwined with the human body, revealing their vitality, strangeness, and quiet dominance.
